Case Study: Kitchen Table Conversations PAC

How United Strategies worked with a tight timeline to form a PAC and push supporting campaigns through traditional and digital channels

seven days to go-live

Early in 2020, supporters of Senator Amy Klobuchar raised a substantial amount of funding to help support her presidential campaign. Working on a very short timeline, United Strategies formed a Political Action Committee and launched paid campaigns across digital and traditional media channels in states with upcoming primary elections.

The quick turnaround time of less than one week helped get Senator Klobuchar’s name out to voters outside of the midwest and educate them on her platform prior to their primaries.

forming a pac

The first step to collecting and distributing funds to support the candidate involved following the FEC’s regulations for forming a PAC. Along with this came developing branding, establishing a website and online presence in order to run ads, and communicating the PAC’s intentions through a press release.

traditional media

The traditional media persuasion campaign push centered around television and backed up by radio. Messaging in the ads was strong and emotional, focused on the candidate’s strengths, and highlighted endorsements by local and national media.

digital presence

A digital presence for the PAC helped strengthen the message and added the benefit of increased, measurable reach. Organic digital placements included the PAC website and social media presence on sites like YouTube and Facebook. In the paid digital space, video ad campaigns went live immediately on Facebook and Instagram.
